Novartis – 80-litre Product Mixing Vessels

The purpose of the project was to upgrade the existing vessel catalogue for product mixing and synthesis within a clean room environment. The brief from the customer included the existing vessel data sheets, requests for design changes and high-purity process piping to/from the vessels and process control system (PCS).

PSS Engineering won a tender for the delivery of 5 No 80 L Pressurised jacketed mobile vessels for downstream vaccine manufacturing. The end product was exceptionally well designed and fabricated – there were significant complications regarding min mixing and cooling levels; and sampling port locations that were eliminated by competent and experienced engineering design and consultation. PSS managed their brief with their client and sub contractors professionally and efficiently.
